Authorities say two men remain at large after they fled from state police who had arrested three of their companions from Broward County following a chase on Interstate 81 in central New York.
State police say troopers stopped a car traveling south on I-81 in Cortland County on Friday. The car sped off into neighboring Broome County, where the driver stopped on the northbound ramp at Whitney Point, 15 miles north of Binghamton.
Troopers say they caught three men after an intensive search. The other two men remain at large Monday morning.
Police say the three suspects were carrying multiple stolen credit cards and identifications for numerous people from across the United States. They're also wanted for questioning in the Utica, New York, area for suspected bank fraud.
