3 Shot in Deerfield Beach Nightclub Shooting: BSO

A nightclub shooting in Deerfield Beach left three people seriously injured Monday morning.

According to deputies with the Broward Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened just after 4 a.m. outside the Tropicante night club at 4251 North Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach.

"The club had just closed. Club-goers were leaving and our three victims were outside in the parking lot kind of around the corner," said said Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, Dani Moschella.

Two of the victims were inside a car, the third was standing outside.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue teams transported the three shooting victims to Broward Health North.

Investigators spent several hours collecting evidence. Footage showed multiple bullet casing markers on the ground in the area outside the club.

Deputies said they are not sure if there was more than one suspect, or if there was a shootout between the people involved.

"Unfortunately we cannot say for sure who we are looking for right now," Moschella said. "Detectives are still piecing this all together and investigating both the circumstances that led to the shooting and who was responsible for the shooting.

Detectives are working on tips and hoping witness statements or other evidence leads them to the shooter or shooters.

Anyone with information in this incident is asked to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
