3 Students Injured in Bethune-Cookman Shooting

Authorities say three students were shot during an altercation at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach.

The male students were taken to hospitals after the Monday night shooting.

Daytona Beach police spokesman Jimmie Flynt says their injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

Two men have been taken into custody and police were questioning them late Monday.

Flynt told the Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://bitly.com/a/bitlinks ) that at least two people pulled into the campus just before 7 p.m. They got out of the car and an altercation of some kind occured. One man pulled a gun and fired six to seven shots.

Flynt says the students appear to be innocent bystanders.

Campus security arrived before the men got back into their car. They tried to run but were caught.
