$3,000 Reward Offered in Dania Beach Hit-and-Run Crash That Left Brothers Injured

Deputies handed out flyers Thursday offering a $3,000 reward in the search for a hit-and-run driver who left two brothers critically injured in Dania Beach.

Apollo Brown Jr., 8, and brother Kelv'ron Florence, 14, remained hospitalized Thursday following the Monday accident along Bryan Road.

At the scene Thursday, a makeshift memorial to the brothers grew as friends stopped by, including Jeffrey and Jonathan Klee.

"He's a real big sweetheart," Jeffery Klee said of friend Kelv'ron. "I cried so much, I just want my best friend."

"I just want him back," Jonathan said of Apollo.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said detectives are looking for the driver of a newer model, metallic silver Toyota Tacoma involved in the accident. Detectives believe the truck has damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle and is also missing headlight and fog light covers along with the grill emblem.

"I've never seen that Toyota around here. I was trying to think, I was asking around here, and I don't know where it could've came from," said Aaron Covent, who works on Bryan Road. "I think it's terrible."

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
