$3,000 Reward Offered in Killing of Fort Lauderdale Youth Football Coach

Authorities are hoping someone will come forward with information in the killing of a youth football coach in Fort Lauderdale.

Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of Dave Williams.

Williams, 43, was gunned down last Thursday night at Mills Pond Park, where he coached for the Fort Lauderdale Hurricanes 7 and under team.

Witnesses said "Coach Dave" was shot and killed in front of players and other coaches as they were preparing the field and facility for homecoming weekend.

Police said Williams was approached by several black males, who were seen running from the area after the shooting.
