$350,000 in Jewelry Stolen From Car in Fort Lauderdale

Police searching for suspect behind expensive jewelry heist

Police are searching for a thief who stole about $350,000 worth of jewelry out of a car in Fort Lauderdale.

The theft happened the evening of Jan. 1 in the parking lot of the Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza at 2203 S. Federal Highway, police said.

A man broke into the car and made off with the expensive jewelry, fleeing in a dark colored SUV, officials said.

Police released photos of the jewelry in the hopes that someone recognizes the items. There's also a $10,000 reward, including $3,000 from Crime Stoppers and an anonymous $7,000 donation.
