4 Arrested in Armed Robbery in Miami Beach

Four suspects were arrested after a couple said they were robbed at gunpoint in Miami Beach early Thursday.

Wittenberg Desbouquets, 20, Johny Etienne, 18, and two minors, ages 16 and 17, were arrested on armed robbery charges, according to a Miami Beach Police arrest report.

The four suspects were taken into custody after the robbery happened around 2 a.m. in the 900 block of Biarritz Drive.

According to the arrest report, the couple said they were approached by a group of five men. One of the men, later identified as Etienne, pointed a rifle at him and demanded his fanny pack, which held his cell phone, IDs and $140 in cash, the report said.

Another suspect pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her bag. Four of the suspects fled on foot and a fifth left on a bicycle, the report said.

Officers who responded to the scene spotted a speeding car. The car was pulled over and the suspects were taken into custody.

A firearm was found in the vehicle, the report said.
