4 Pounds of Cocaine Found in Coffee at Miami International Airport

Security workers at Miami International Airport found a shipment of coffee illegal to the last drop after they discovered four pounds of cocaine concealed inside.

The cocaine was sent in a package from Peru on its way to an address in New Jersey when Customs and Border Protection officers at MIA seized it last month, officials said.

A physical inspection of the coffee grounds found several clumps that later tested positive for cocaine.

"We’re extremely proud of our CBP officers and their ability to detect and seize narcotics," MIA Port Director Christopher Maston said in a statement. "They remain dedicated to protecting the American people from dangerous drugs."
