4 Seriously Injured in Single-Car Crash in Miami: Fire Rescue

FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.

Four people, including a pregnant woman, were taken to the hospital with serious injuries following a one-car crash on Interstate 95 in Miami, officials said.

A green Mustang was traveling west on I-195 onto I-95 when it collided into a barricade dividing north and southbound lanes on I-95, according to Miami Fire Rescue Spokesman Iggy Carroll.

Paramedics found five people in the car with injuries and had to use extrication tools to free a passenger from the back seat, he said. One person was treated on scene while four others, including a pregnant woman, were taken to Ryder Trauma Center with serious injuries, according to Carroll.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash. Officials did not immediately release further information.
