5 Teens in Custody After Sexual Assault of Minor: Hollywood Police

A girl was sexually assaulted as a group of teens held her down.

Five teens were placed in custody after four of them held down a 16-year-old girl as the fifth raped her, police said.

The victim was visiting a friend on the 1600 block of McKinley Street in Hollywood Friday when she was beaten by a 15-year-old and then sexually assaulted, Hollywood Police said.

According to arrest affidavits, the victim was invited to her friend's home Friday night. While the two girls were listening to music and watching TV, three minors, a girl and two boys, and 19-year-old Jayvon Woolfork came out from another side of the house. They approached the victim and said, "You have to have sex with Jay or we are going to beat you," the affidavits said.

The victim refused so the other minors started to punch her, kick her and drag her by the hair along the floor, police said. They dragged her out to the backyard and then back into the house into a bedroom where the sexual battery occurred, according to the affidavits.

The suspects allowed the girl to leave afterwards, but did not let her take her shoes, so she was forced to walk barefoot to her grandmother's home nearby, police said.

She was taken to the hospital where she was drifting in and out of consciousness, police said, noting she had extreme swelling to both her eyes and blood coming from her left ear.

Authorities later discovered one of the suspects had recorded several videos of the attack on a cell phone.
