$5K Reward for ‘Filter Bandit' in Florida Bank Heists: FBI

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward in the case of a serial South Florida bank robber dubbed the ``filter bandit'' because he usually wears a dust mask.

The reward is for information leading to an arrest and conviction. The FBI said Tuesday agents believe the same man is responsible for seven armed bank heists between August 2014 and June 16 of this year in Broward County.

In addition to the dust mask, the suspect typically wears dark pants and a dark hoodie when committing the robberies. The FBI says he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The amount of money taken in the seven robberies has not been released.

Anyone with information can call the FBI at 754-703-2000.
