A woman and five men accused of running a human trafficking operation were arrested, Fort Lauderdale Police said.

Fort Lauderdale Police, working with the Broward Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Miami-Dade Police's Robbery Intervention Detail and Sex Crimes Unit arrested the six suspects last week, officials said Friday.

Arrested and facing charges including racketeering and human trafficking are: 26-year-old Andre Veira, of West Park; 26-year-old Dexter Curry Jr., of Miami Gardens; 26-year-old Antonio Johnson, of Miami-Dade; 23-year-old Pa'Keith White, of Miami Gardens; 19-year-old Vicki Pierre, of Miramar; and 23-year-old Gerard Nelson, of Margate.

It was unknown if any of the suspects have attorneys.

According to police, detectives were conducting an undercover investigation that led them to a criminal enterprise known as Str8ProfitBoyz. The members of Str8ProfitBoyz were exploiting young females to prostitute and running a human trafficking operation, police said.

Police are asking anyone with more information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
