No. 2 - Three police officers were injured after a shootout with a suspect inside of a Kendall home late Tuesday night.

Miami-Dade Police say the incident occurred at the home located at 8001 SW 89th Terrace just after 9:30 p.m. when officers arrived after receiving several 911 calls. Police say a white male in his 30s opened fire before barricading himself in a room, only to later turn himself in. The officers were treated at the scene.

No. 3 - NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, just signed by the New England Patriots, is accused of raping his former trainer in a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in Florida.

In the lawsuit, Britney Taylor alleges Brown forced her onto a bed and raped her while she shouted for him to stop, leaving her traumatized. Brown learned of the lawsuit the day it was filed and "denies each and every allegation" in it, a lawyer representing him said in a statement.

No. 4 - Desperation mounted in the Bahamas as hurricane survivors arriving in the capital by boat and plane were turned away from overflowing shelters.

Hurricane Dorian devastated the Abaco and Grand Bahama islands in the northern part of the archipelago a week ago, leaving at least 50 dead, with the toll certain to rise as the search for bodies goes on.

No. 5 - As the nation will mourn the tragic events of September 11, 2001 that saw thousands of lives lost in the terror attacks in New York City, Washington D.C. and in Pennsylvania, South Florida will join in the events with special ceremonies in both Broward and Miami-Dade on Wednesday.
