No. 2 - Police are investigating an overnight shooting at a Cutler Bay home during what officers say could have stemmed from an armed robbery.
Miami-Dade Police arrived at the home located at the 22200 block of Southwest 99th Avenue just after 11 p.m., saying the 31-year-old victim was shot and died at the scene. His identity has not been released at this time.
No. 3 - Terrifying video shows the moment a man was attacked by a pack of dogs in northwest Miami-Dade.
The incident happened Tuesday outside a home in the 1100 block of Northwest 103rd Street and involved five bulldogs, Animal Services officials said. Family members said the man, Jaques Notis, was coming home from work when the five dogs attacked him. He underwent surgery and received a blood transfusion at an area hospital.

No. 4 - A number of commission and council seats were up for grabs, one mayor was chosen and nearly a dozen issues were voted on Tuesday when residents in several South Florida cities headed to the polls for election day.
In Miami Beach, none of the commission seats were decided, including a heated race in Group 4 that pitted political rivals Kristen Rosen Gonzalez and Rafael A. Velasquez against each other in a four-person election. For a complete list of the results, click on this link.
No. 5 - A South Florida college student said she was sexually assaulted inside her dorm room and is filing a lawsuit against the university, citing lapses in security at campus housing.
The alleged assault happened in the early morning hours of Sept. 12 at The Willie C. Robinson dorms, an all-female dormitory at Florida Memorial University. According to the lawsuit, the freshman student was asleep in her bed when she was awoken at around 3 a.m. by two drunk men.
No. 6 - Social media, selfies, and filters are definitely mainstream, but experts say some are taking it too far. "Snapchat dysmorphia" is a term now used for people who are fixated on looking like their filtered pictures – and one Miami plastic surgeon calls it all a growing trend.
