No. 1 – Thieves Break Into Sedano’s Supermarkets

A group of thieves used a sledgehammer to break into two Sedano’s Supermarkets and proceeded to steal lottery tickets and cigarettes from both locations, surveillance footage appears to show. The incidents took place in Pembroke Pines and North Lauderdale.

No. 2 – Two Attempted Thieves On The Run

Police in Tamarac are looking for two men who posed as a pest control crew and attempted to steal from a 68-year-old man’s apartment. The man was able to chase them out of his home before they could take anything.

No. 3 – Severe Weather Impacting The Country

Severe weather impacting much of the country: from heavy snow in the upper Midwest to heavy rain in Texas and strong winds in South Florida. Many flights have been impacted, so be sure to call your airline before heading to the airport.

No. 4 – Government Shutdown

We are one week into the partial government shutdown and there is no end in sight. Congress has decided to adjourn until the New Year.

No. 5 – Transformer Explodes in New York Causing Weird Phenomenon in Sky

A strange bright blue sky sent people in New York into a frenzy. The light was caused when multiple transformers exploded at a power plant. LaGuarda Airport was on limited operation for most of the night. If you have a flight through the New York area, you are urged to call your airline.

No. 6 – Orange Bowl Comes to South Florida

On Saturday, two of the best teams in college football will play in Miami’s home stadium. Alabama and Oklahoma will face off in the Orange Bowl. Kick off starts at 8 p.m.
