No. 1 - Weather wise, the latest blast of cooler air will keep high temperatures in the mid-70s for much of the area before a warming trend returns Tuesday afternoon.

No. 2 - A U.S. Coast Guard serviceman shot and killed his wife and 7-year-old son, then killed himself early Sunday in Miami, officials said.

The Coast Guard member's daughter was also shot, but was found alive, officials said. The 8-year-old girl was airlifted to Nicklaus Children's Hospital in critical condition.

No. 3 – A man is dead after a drive-by shooting that took place Sunday afternoon in Miami.

Officials said the incident happened at the 900 block of Northwest 7th Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. Police said two people, a woman and a man, were taken to the hospital. The woman remains in critical condition.

No. 4 - Pushing the government to the brink of a partial shutdown, the White House is insisting that Congress provide $5 billion to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border despite lawmaker resistance from both parties.

Without a resolution, parts of the federal government will shut down at midnight Friday.

No. 5 – T.K. Wetherell, who served as the speaker of the Florida House of Representatives before serving as president of his alma mater Florida State University, has died.

The school announced the 72-year-old’s death Sunday after a long battle with cancer that spanned back to his tenure leading the school.

No. 6 - A 22-year-old man in the Tampa Bay area is behind bars after police say he slapped a teen following a heated game of dodgeball.

Police say Halid Dedic took part in the game at a trampoline park in the area and became upset when he was hit by a ball. Investigators say Dedic tried to tackle the 15-year-old victim before falling down, getting back up and running after the teen again
