Weather wise, cooler morning temperatures will give way to afternoon highs in the mid-70s with the chance of a slight shower as rain chances increase heading into the weekend.
No. 1 – Breaking overnight, an early morning crash in Pembroke Pines involving a stolen police vehicle has one man facing several charges.
Officers say they spotted the marked Fort Lauderdale Police cruiser traveling at a high rate of speed just after 2 a.m. northbound on Palm Avenue near Pines Boulevard and attempted to stop the driver, identified as 33-year-old Antwane Jones, but he wouldn’t stop and crashed into a nearby pole before fleeing the car.
No. 2 - A tunnel leading toward a bank from a wooded area was discovered in Pembroke Pines on Wednesday and the FBI is investigating.
A public works crew responded to what appeared to be a sinkhole on a side street in the area of Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard near a Chase bank, FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock told reporters.

When they looked into the hole, they noticed a power cord running into nearby woods.
No. 3 - A Tamarac woman was caught on surveillance video stealing packages from the front porch of a home while she was pushing a baby on a stroller.
Stephanie Henriques, 24, was arrested Jan. 24 after she was identified as the woman in the video of the Jan. 21 incident. She is shown in the video stealing three packages from the porch of a residence in the 5900 block of London Lane, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.
No. 4 - Surveillance video at a Central Florida resort showed a man being confronted by a coyote this past weekend – and kicking the animal as it moved toward him.
Video shot at the Emerald Island Resort on Saturday near Kissimmee showed the animal, who would later test positive for rabies, coming out of a nearby forest area. The man can be seen trying to scare the animal and waving his arms, but the coyote continued toward him and the man kicked the animal – which knocked it to the ground.
No. 5 - The federal agency responsible for investigating major crashes and accidents is sending an eight-member team to Florida to investigate a fiery crash that killed two semitrailer drivers and five children riding in a church van.
The National Transportation Safety Board announced the investigation Wednesday on Twitter. The post says the recent government shutdown prevented them from investigating sooner.
No. 6 - Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says he wants to make it easier for students who don't graduate from a university to get an associate degree.
DeSantis said Wednesday in Tampa he also wants to make it easier for students who are short of earning a college degree to make up the credit with the help of tuition waivers for courses.
