Weather wise, temperatures will be slightly above average for this time of the year with highs pushing into the mid-90s and a chance of afternoon showers across South Florida.
No. 1 - Florida's largest sheriff's office has lost its law enforcement accreditation after criticism over its handling of fatal shootings at a high school and airport.
The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation voted 13-0 last week not to renew the Broward Sheriff's Office's accreditation. They cited the agency's handling of last year's Parkland shooting and a 2017 shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as reasons for the decision.
No. 2 – At the same time, months after he was suspended by Gov. Ron DeSantis over the response to the Parkland school shooting, Scott Israel has filed paperwork to run for re-election as Broward County Sheriff.
Israel confirmed Monday that he filed to run again to reclaim the position. DeSantis named Gregory Tony the new Broward Sheriff after he suspended Israel three days after taking office in January.

No. 3 - A Miami-based LGBTQ organization has terminated its executive director after he welcomed four men charged with hate crimes in an anti-gay attack to an equality gala last month.
SAVE's board of directors said in a statement Monday that Tony Lima's employment was terminated following the Champions of Equality gala on June 14. Lima apologized Friday in a Facebook video and said that the men – Luis M. Alonso, Juan C. Lopez, Adonis Diaz and Pablo Reinaldo Romo – bought their own tickets after volunteering with the group.
No. 4 - Charges that were filed against a man who was seen on video getting punched and knocked out by a Miami Beach police officer have been dropped as NBC 6 exclusively obtained new footage of the incident.
Lowell Poitier faced misdemeanor charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in the Dec. 3, 2018 incident at the Pelican Hotel. They were dropped by the state attorney's office on Monday after another officer came forward back in December with video that shows the encounter.
No. 5 - The head of the U.S. Border Patrol on Monday slammed as "completely inappropriate" sexually explicit posts about U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and comments questioning the authenticity of a photo of a drowned man and his young daughter in a secret Facebook group for agents.
This comes as protests are happening around the country today over recent reports of inhumane conditions at migrant detention, including demonstrators planning a rally at the ICE detention center in Miramar and at Senator Marco Rubio’s office in Doral.
No. 6 – A group of South Florida homeowners hired a local company to install custom window treatments – but after losing thousands of dollars and not having the work done, they called NBC 6 Responds.
