NORTH MIAMI MOTHER SHOT TO DEATH INSIDE BATHROOM

A North Miami Beach mother was shot to death overnight after two robbers held her family hostage in the bathroom at gunpoint before killing her, her husband said. Police are investigating the death of Guerline Noel, 28.

9 BOATERS RESCUED OFF HONDURAN COAST

Nine boaters, including two Americans, were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard after their boat went missing off the Honduran coast. The boat set sail Saturday afternoon. It was spotted Wednesday and the passengers were hoisted onto a Coast Guard helicopter.

STATE FORESTER TO INVESTIGATE FATAL ARIZONA FIRE

Florida's forester will lead the investigation into the deaths of 19 Arizona firefighters who died this week. Jim Karels was named the lead investigator on Wednesday. He will review the Yarnell hill fire that killed members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

WOMAN ARRESTED IN FINANCE'S DEATH

A 37-year-old woman is accused of orchestrating her fiance's death in Tennessee last year. Police say her estranged husband was charged with the killing in March. They say 41-year-old Tom Colucci was the stage manager for country singer Jo Dee Messina.

TWO TEENS KILLED IN PASCO COUNTY CRASH

A 17-year-old and her 16-year-old passenger died in a crash in Pasco County earlier this week. The Florida Highway Patrol said the teen lost control of her vehicle on Tuesday and veered into the northbound lanes of the road she was traveling on. A pickup truck hit the car on the passenger side and both teens died at the scene.
