FLORIDA REVERSES COURSE AND REACHES DEAL WITH AMAZON
 
Florida is reaching a deal to bring major Internet retailer Amazon to the state. Florida Gov. Rick Scott will announce Thursday that Amazon would bring more than 3,000 jobs to the state between now and 2016. The company is poised to spend more than $300 million on new warehouses.
 
FLORIDA GOVERNOR LEADS TRADE MISSION TO PARIS
 
Florida Gov. Rick Scott is leaving Friday on a week-long trade mission to Paris. Scott will lead a delegation of more than 70 people from the state to visit the 50th International Paris Air Show.
 
CENTRAL COMMAND OFFICIAL SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS
 
A former U.S. Central Command official has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for attempting to entice a minor for sex. A federal judge in Orlando on Thursday also sentenced 50-year-old Stephen Governale to 10 years of supervision and ordered that he register as a sex offender after his release from prison.
 
FORMER FLORIDA HEALTH CEO GETS PRISON IN $6 MILLION SCAM
 
The former top executive of a Miami Beach health center that helps the poor and uninsured has been sentenced to 3 { years in prison after admitting a $6 million embezzlement scam.  A Miami federal judge imposed the sentence this week on 64-year-old Kathryn Abbate.
 
COAST GUARD REPATRIATES 38 CUBAN MIGRANTS
 
The U.S. Coast Guard has repatriated 38 Cuban migrants who were stopped south of the Florida Keys trying to make it to U.S. shores. Coast Guard officials said Thursday the first group of 20 Cubans were spotted in a boat south of Marathon on June 7. The second boatload of 18 Cubans was spotted by a Customs and Border Protection aircraft the same day southwest of Key West.

SEA TURTLE TO BE RELEASED

Hilary the loggerhead turtle will be returned to the ocean after being treated for intestinal gas buildup at the Turtle Hospital in Marathon. On April 10, Hilary was found floating on the surface of the boat basin at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo.
