FORMER NFL PLAYER CHAD JOHNSON DUE BACK IN COURT
 
Former NFL star Chad Johnson is hoping to persuade a South Florida judge to reduce a 30-day jail sentence imposed after Johnson slapped his attorney on the backside in court.  A hearing is set for Monday morning in a Fort Lauderdale courtroom. Johnson's attorney Adam Swickle said the rear-end slap was not disrespect but was a football player's way of saying thanks.
 
HEAT LOSE; SERIES SWITCHES TO MIAMI
 
The Miami Heat lost Game 5 to the San Antonio Spurs, meaning they must win to stay alive when the NBA Finals return to Miami on Tuesday. The Spurs beat the Heat 114-104 on Sunday night.
 
FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE GETS BOOST FROM FUNDRAISING SNUB
 
Nan Rich is riding a publicity wave after being snubbed from speaking at the Florida Democrats' annual fundraising dinner for party activists. The gubernatorial candidate has gotten more publicity since she was not allowed to speak at Saturday's dinner than she has in months.
 
FLORIDA WOMAN CHARGED WITH THROWING ACID ON VICTIM'S FACE
 
A southwest Florida woman has been arrested after police say she poured a bottle of muriatic acid onto a person's face.
 
MIAMI-DADE DEDICATES NEW PARK

A former residential lot at 10202 Southwest 172nd Street, with its large Royal Poinciana tree, had long been the spot where neighbors would regularly set up make-shift tables and chairs and play dominos and checkers. The recently redeveloped park now contains seven new sets of permanent domino/checker picnic tables with seats and will be dedicated Monday.

YOUNG GIRL SHOT IN MIAMI

A young girl remained hospitalized Monday after she was shot outside an apartment complex in Miami. Police are looking for the gunmen or gunman involved in the drive-by shooting.
