FACE-CHEWING VICTIM CONTINUES RECOVERY IN MIAMI
 
A homeless man whose face was mostly chewed off in a bizarre attack last year in Miami has learned to play guitar as he continues treatment for his injuries. Ronald Poppo spent nearly a month in a hospital after the May 26 attack alongside a Miami highway. Since then, he's been living in a long-term care facility.
 
LAST OF FAMU SUSPECTS IN COURT
 
The last of the suspects to be charged with the death of a Florida A & M University drum major during a hazing ritual has a date in court. Darryl Cearnel has an arraignment Tuesday in state court in Orlando.
 
MIAMI-DADE SCHOOLS SETTLE SEX HARASS LAWSUITS
 
Two female police officers with the Miami-Dade County school system have settled lawsuits accusing the former police chief of sexually harassing them. Cmdr. Deanna Fox-Williams and Officer Yewande Gibson claimed in the lawsuits that former chief Charles Hurley asked them for dates and then retaliated against them when they refused his advances over several years.
 
STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION TO GET LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
 
Members of Florida's State Board of Education are getting an update on a series of education measures that were passed by the Florida Legislature this session. Board members have their monthly meeting in Jacksonville on Tuesday.
 
FLORIDA GOVERNOR VISIT TO CHILE MARKS 8TH OVERSEAS TRIP
 
Florida Gov. Rick Scott is leaving the country for his eighth overseas trade-related trip in the last two-and-half years. The governor left late Monday for a trip to Chile in South America. He has previously visited far-flung places such as Brazil, Spain, Israel, and England. He heads to Paris next month.

MEGA JOB FAIR IN MIAMI LAKES

Over 2,500 jobs are up for grabs at a mega job fair beginning at 10 a.m. at Don Shula’s Hotel, 6842 Main Street in Miami Lakes.
