Weather wise, a muggy and mild start to the day will become a warmer afternoon with highs in the mid-80s and a slight chance of showers in the evening.

No. 1 - An officer in Miami Beach was rushed to the hospital after a late night crash that claimed the life of another driver.

Police officials say the officer was attempting to stop a vehicle allegedly stolen from a store off Collins Avenue and 74th Street around 11 p.m. Monday night. After spotting the stolen car along 76th Street, the officer hit another vehicle that was not involved in the initial case.

The female driver of that second car was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she later died.

No. 2 - Surveillance video from this weekend shows the moments when four men fought back against an alleged robber outside a Broward gas station.

The incident took place Sunday morning at the Mobile gas station located off Oakland Park Boulevard. In the video, a man approaches the group and begins to get physical with them – throwing one to the ground before two other men get involved in an attempt to subdue the suspect.

No. 3 - A dashcam video shows a car spinning out of control and hitting an 18-wheeler before getting away on Interstate 95.

Ignacio Roman, who was behind the wheel of the tractor-trailer, said the crash happened Sunday morning near Miami Gardens as he was en route to delivery at the Port of Miami.

No. 4 - President Donald Trump is nearing a victory over Democrats as the House tries overriding his first veto, a vote that seems certain to fail and would let stand his declaration of a national emergency at the Mexican border.

Tuesday's vote would keep the border emergency intact, which for now would let him shift an additional $3.6 billion from military construction projects to work on a barrier along the southwest boundary.

No. 5 - UFC superstar Conor McGregor announced his retirement on social media Monday night, abruptly ending his remarkable fighting career.

In a post on his verified Twitter account, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion said: "I've decided to retire from the sport formally known as 'Mixed Martial Art' today."

No. 6 - The Miami Heat will retire Chris Bosh’s No. 1 jersey on Tuesday night, making Bosh the fourth former franchise pillar with a jersey swaying from the rafters of AmericanAirlines Arena after Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway and Shaquille O'Neal.
