The 85-year-old man who was in critical condition after a possible hit-and-run crash in Coconut Grove has died, the Miami Police Department said.
The crash occurred at about 7:20 a.m. on Monday in the area of SW 37th Avenue and Charles Terrace. The victim, David Hertizig, was transported in critical condition to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, police said.
"The victim from this hit & run crash has passed away," the Miami Police Department wrote on Twitter on Saturday.
Police are looking for a newer-model Jaguar featuring a light blue color. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 305-603-6525.
