911 Call Released in Marshall Stabbing

Wife of Dolphins star charged with battery in alleged stabbing

The brief 911 call made by Dolphins star Brandon Marshall's wife around the time she allegedly stabbed him was released by police Monday.

The call, believed to have been made by Michi Nogami-Marshall, was received just after 4:40 p.m. Friday.

"Please come it's an emergency," Nogami-Marshall tells the emergency operator, who asks her where.

"Please come it's an emergency," she repeats, before hanging up. The operator attempts to call her back but gets no response.

Police responding to the couple's Southwest Ranches home found the 27-year-old wide receiver with a stab wound to his abdomen. He was taken to nearby Broward general Hospital where he underwent a minor surgery.

Marshall initially told officers that he slipped and fell on a broken vase, according to police. but Nogami-Marshall allegedly told police she stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife in self-defense.

Nogami-Marshall, also 27, was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and later released on $7,500 bail.

Marshall is expected to make a full recovery.
