Police have released the 911 call made by the wife of Miami Heat free agent Ray Allen after a group of teens broke into the family's Coral Gables home.
"They were like, if they were on a tour, pointing out stuff," Shannon Allen tells the dispatcher. "Like 'oh wow, look at this picture, oh my God, look, he's got a flat screen TV.'"
The call was released as the Allens met with prosecutors from the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office. The couple gave statements on the incident and said they wish to press charges, State Attorney's Office officials said.
Coral Gables police said the group of seven teens had been attending a party next door when they entered Allen's home through an unlocked back door in the early morning hours of Aug. 14.
Allen wasn't home but his wife and kids were sleeping inside and were awoken by the commotion. The teens fled the home after Shannon Allen yelled at them, police said. Nothing was stolen from the home.
The teens were questioned by police but released. They could still face trespassing charges.
Police identified the teens as: Ernesto Romero, 18; Jonathan Ramirez, 19; Kevin Ramos, 18; Alana Garcia, 18; Christian Lobo, 18; Angel Sanchez, 18; and Jorge Guerrero, 18.
NBC 6's Keith Jones tracked down all of the suspects, but none went on camera to clear things up. The mother of one of the 18-year-old's said her son is embarassed, has been crying, and is very remorseful.
The State Attorney's Office said they are still gathering evidence.
"You can't just walk into someone's home, especially at 2:30 in the morning, and frighten a woman and her children without having consequences which are upheld by law," said Kelly Denham of the Coral Gables Police Department.
