911 Calls Released in Miami Killian Stabbing

The 911 calls made after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed by a female classmate at Miami Killian Senior High School were released Thursday.

"There's an emergency at Killian High school, someone has just been stabbed," one caller tells a 911 operator. "The victim is a male, suspect is a female."

"He needs an ambulance," another caller says. "The girl stabbed the boy."

Police said 15-year-old Deandre Johnson, an honor student and prominent member of the football team at Killian, was stabbed Tuesday. He remained at Nicklaus Children's Hospital after undergoing surgery on his chest wound.

"He's dying ma'am, how far are they?" one student, who was near Johnson, tells an operator, who asks him what he saw. "I just saw some girl screaming in the cafeteria with a knife in her hand."

A 17-year-old student was arrested in the stabbing. The teen is charged with attempted felony murder and two counts of carrying a weapon on school grounds.

Her attorney said she had been bullied. An attorney for Johnson's family said they shard a class but he didn't know her or have contact with her.

The girl is being held as a juvenile. The motive for the stabbing is unknown.

Johnson is regarded as one of the best football players in the class of 2017.

"He's got a real big will and he's got a lot to accomplish in life and he's going to work real hard to rehab and he'll come back and he'll be just as good as ever," South Florida recruiting expert Larry Blustein said.

A representative for the family's attorney said Johnson was still in the ICU late Thursday. Doctors are hoping to have him upright and walking again in a matter of days.
