Armed Men Tried to Rob Hialeah Bakery: Police

Police are looking for a pair of men who tried to rob a Hialeah bakery at gunpoint in an incident caught on camera.

The robbery attempt happened back on Jan. 7 at the Tu Pan Bakery at 1197 West 29th Street, police said. Police said the suspects were wearing bandanas when they approached the counter of the all-night bakery around 2 a.m.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the woman behind the counter and the other demanded money. The frightened woman immediately ran to the back of the business and the two suspects fled the scene.

Nothing was taken, but police are looking for the two suspects. Police said they're white men, 18-20 years old, about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
