Arrest Made in Shooting Death of Louis Salgar, Popular South Florida Bartender: Police

Miami Police confirmed that there was an arrest in the fatal shooting of a popular South Florida bartender.

Police said 51-year-old Raul Reinoso Martinez was arrested in St. Augustine Friday in the death of Louis Salgar.

Salgar, a bartender at the Broken Shaker and a musician, was found dead inside his home at Northeast 86th Street and 8th Court last month.

Police said Salgar's roommate found the 28-year-old's lifeless body around 3 p.m. on June 24.

Reinoso Martinez, who is listed as homeless, is being held in St. Augustine without bond, jail records show. Miami Police said he will be extradited to Miami-Dade County where he will be charged with second degree murder. It is unclear if he has an attorney.

No further information about the arrest was immediately available.
