Arrest Made in South Beach Club Abduction

Man who attacked woman after taking her from club in March arrested

Police have made an arrest in the abduction, sexual assault and robbery of a woman in Miami Beach in March.

Jesus Sardinas, 34, is facing kidnapping, sexual battery and credit card fraud charges in the March 26 incident, according to Miami-Dade Police.

Police say Sardinas met the 24-year-old woman at Club Mansion in Miami Beach and took her against her will to a hotel on Southwest 8th Street, where he sexually assaulted her.

After assaulting her, Sardinas took her credit cards and used them at various locations along Coral Way, police said.

Police said Sardinas was "identified through investigative leads," and was arrested on Aug. 12.

Sardinas' criminal history includes arrests for burglary, battery, stalking and indecent exposure, police said.

Sardinas was being held without bond Tuesday. It was unknown whether he had an attorney.
