Firefighters with the Pembroke Pines Fire Department spent several hours Monday morning battling a blaze at an automotive repair shop.
The firefighters responded to the huge fire at Advanced Automotive at 1801 Southwest 100th Terrace around 1:30 a.m.
The repair shop was filled with tires and other flammable material, which made the fire even worse.
Firefighters on scene called in the Miramar Fire Department for backup. In total it took 36 firefighters to get the fire under control.
No homes or people were threatened by the fire. Authorities believe it started with some car tires but they haven't confirmed the cause or the exact origin. The building sustained extensive smoke damage.
