BSO, ATF Seek to End Serial Armed Robber's 15-Store Streak

The Broward County Sheriff's Office is searching for the suspect accused in at least 15 armed robberies in South Florida since September.

The latest robberies occurred on Jan. 4 at a Chevron gas station and Marathon gas station in Cooper City and a Mobil gas station in Pembroke Pines.

BSO is working with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to track down the suspect. The agencies are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect.

The suspect has carried out other robberies in Hallandale Beach, Hollywood, Davie, Miami Gardens, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, Dania Beach, Virginia Gardens and Hialeah, BSO added.

"The robber's MO has remained consistent. At first, he pretends to shop, browsing up and down the aisle and waiting for the real customers to leave," BSO said in a statement. "He walks up to the counter and pretends to pay for a small item before producing a gun and demanding all the money in the register."

BSO describes the suspect as a male in his 20s who is about 6 feet tall with a dark beard and a mustache, a dark complexion and a slender build.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO detective Theophilus Woulard at 954-321-4553 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-8477.

Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000. ATF is also offering a $10,000 reward.
