BSO Investigating Armed Robbery in Deerfield Beach, Possible Link To Earlier Cases

Broward Sheriff’s deputies are investigation an armed robbery Monday morning in Deerfield Beach – and a possible connection to two other cases earlier in the year.

Police responded to the scene off Lock Road shortly before 7:30 AM, when Pedro Rosado says he was attacked by a man with a gun who demanded money before hitting Rosado with the weapon and taking his wallet.

Detectives believe that, based off the description of the suspect and location of the incident, that the same person who assaulted Rosado may have been involved in two armed robberies on August 22nd and 24th.

In the first case, a man entered a home on the same street and forced the homeowner out of the shower, shooting at her as she ran away before stealing money and electronics. Two days later, a couple was tied up and robbed at gunpoint as the suspect again fled with money and electronics.

Detectives released a sketch of the suspect, described as being in his late teens or early 20’s with short curly hair, a mustache and being about 5’8” tall.

Anyone with information that can lead to an arrest is asked to call Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS, with a current reward in the case being at $3,000.
