BSO Looking for Robber Who Stole Wedding Ring Off Woman's Finger

Authorities are hoping a new sketch can lead them to a thief who robbed a woman of her wedding ring right off her finger in Broward County.

The robbery happened back on Dec. 22 as the victim was delivering mail near 1281 Northwest 30th Terrace in unincorporated Broward County, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.

The woman said the man suddenly grabbed her arm and turned her around then stole the silver wedding band engraved with roses from her finger.

During the robbery, a second man threatened the victim, saying "You're in the wrong neighborhood," officials said.

BSO released a sketch of the suspect Wednesday, who they described as a man in his 20s, a bout 6 feet tall with a slim build, a Caribbean accent, with shoulder-length dreadlocks.

The suspects fled in a car that appeared to be an older Lincoln or Cadillac that had rust and was light blue, purple and black. It's believed a third suspect was driving the car.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
