The Broward Sheriff’s Office says it is searching for an 11-year-old Dania Beach girl who went to check the mail Monday and did not return home.
Ashley Verney was reported missing at about 2:20 p.m. from the mobile home park where she lives on the 5100 block of SW 30th Avenue in Dania Beach, the BSO said.
Deputies have been searching by ground and air, and a be-on-the-lookout message has been issued in three counties.
Foul play is not suspected, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Verney was last seen wearing blue pants, tennis shoes, and a white sweatshirt.
"Nobody saw anything ... nobody knows anything, and our child just disappeared, and it’s very, very unusual for her to do this," said her father, Robert Verney.
