BSO Seeks Suspect Who Opened Fire on Deputies in Pembroke Park

Authorities are hoping a sketch can help lead them to a suspect who opened fire on two Broward Sheriff's deputies in Pembroke Park.

The Broward Sheriff's Office on Wednesday released the sketch of the suspect who they said fired several rounds at the unmarked patrol car in the 5100 block of Southwest 41st Street around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. Two deputies were in the car but weren't injured.

Officials said the suspect was standing in a parking lot when he pulled the gun from his waistband and opened fire on the car. He was described as being 20 to 26 years old, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11 and roughly 140 to 155 pounds with a slim build.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, officials said. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
