Just five minutes into the new year, South Florida’s first baby of 2012 was born at Kendall Regional Medical Center.
Dennis Gonzalez arrived at 12:05 a.m. weighing 6 pounds, 6 ounces and is 19¼ inches long, hospital spokesman Peter Jude told NBC Miami.
His parents are Mariela Medina – who is exhausted, Jude said – and her husband, also named Dennis.
