A seventh baby giraffe has been born at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens in less than four years.

The male reticulated giraffe was born Feb. 13. He weighed 119 pounds and 5-foot-4 at birth.

The Florida Times-Union (http://goo.gl/Nmjtod ) reports the still-unnamed giraffe is the eighth calf born to mother Zawadi and the 11th for father Duke.

Zoo officials say the new calf will be introduced to the rest of the herd and should be visible to the public within the next few days.

The right to name the new calf will be auctioned at an annual fundraiser scheduled for April 12.

The zoo also announced that two of its giraffes born in 2012 are being relocated upon the recommendation of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums Species Survival Plan.
