Belen Jesuit Football Team Set For Historic Game In Ireland

One high school in Miami-Dade County will be starting their 2016 football season later than everyone else did last week – and will be doing so thousands of miles away from their campus.

Belen Jesuit High School will be taking the field Friday in Dublin, Ireland in one of three games being held at the city’s Donnybook Stadium featuring teams from high schools in the United States. The Wolverines will face Marist School, a program from the Atlanta area, at 12 PM Miami time (5 PM in Dublin).

The high school games are part of a weekend of events leading up to Saturday’s college football game between Georgia Tech and Boston College.

Belen Jesuit will return for their first game in the United States this season next weekend against Gulliver Prep.
