Immigration minister David Burch denied a work permit for Ross, saying he doesn't "possess good character and conduct."
"I've been trying to convince them that he is a man of good conduct," Zuill told the BoomBox. "I was providing them with information, but all they told me was that the Minister was not satisfied. It's something personal."
Zuill said he's out several thousand dollars and that he'll have to give refunds to all who purchased tickets.
Rick Ross, whose debut album "Port of Miami" went gold in 2006, uses the name in tribute to the 1980s drug dealer. He was arrested in 2008 in Miami Beach on gun and marijuana charges, which were eventually dropped.
Freeway Ricky Ross, 49, was released from prison after serving a 20-year sentence for trying to buy cocaine from a federal agent. He claims his multi-state drug operation made over $2 million a day at its height.
