Big Burst: FIU's Aquarium Spills Out Fish, Water

A more than 400-gallon fish tank has burst at Florida International University's Graham Center, leaving fish scattered throughout the floor.

School officials say the large aquarium ruptured Thursday morning, causing water and fish to spill out onto the floor of the student center.

Officials say students and other people in the center sprang into action to help save the saltwater fish.

Spokesman Maydel Santana-Bravo says the fish, who were in shock, were put into a different tank elsewhere and that the area was cleaned.

Santana-Bravo says they are unsure exactly why the tank broke and says it's too early to tell whether the aquarium in the food court will be replaced.
