Billboard Latin Music Conference Reunites Two of Reggaeton's Biggest Rivals

Two of the most iconic names in the Latin Urban genre, Raymon Ayala and Omar Landron better known as Daddy Yankee and Don Omar, are putting aside their musical rivalry of years past and coming face-to-face at the 2016 Latin Billboard conference and awards.

The Puerto Rican artists who early in their careers collaborated musically and later became reggaeton’s biggest rivals will sit down at the Billboard Latin Music Conference's "Clash of the Titans" panel session April 27 at the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach.

The panel moderated by Leila Cobo, Billboard’s executive director of Latin Content and programming, will give the audience and inside look at The Kingdom, Don Omar and Daddy Yankee’s upcoming tour twhere the reggaeton superstars go toe-to-toe in a musical boxing style battle.

Over the years, the reggaeton artists have placed 11 No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, 28 top 10 hits on Hot Latin Songs and over 40 million combined views on their Vevo channels.

The Daddy Yankee and Don Omar will also be performing at the Billboard Latin Music Awards which air live from Miami on NBC Universal's sister station Telemundo April 28 at 8 p.m.
