It wasn't the catch an opportunistic fisherman was looking for on a Saturday morning at sea.
Four miles offshore from Port Everglades, he spotted the body of an unidentified white male floating in the Atlantic Ocean.
U.S. Coast Guard and a marine unit of the Broward Sherrif's Office responded, and officers recovered the remains for transport to the Coast Guard station at John U. Lloyd Beach State Park.
The Sherrif's office said there was no identification on the man, and an autopsy will be conducted by the Broward Medical Examiner to determine cause of death.
