Boil Water Order Issued For Part of NE Miami-Dade Starting Wednesday

Some families in Northeast Miami-Dade County are being asked to boil their water starting Wednesday morning.

A Boil Water Order has been issued for the area along Biscayne Boulevard between NE 25th Street to 26th terrace and along 25th street from Biscayne Boulevard to the bay.

Contractors will be installing a 24-inch valve in the area and water service will be interrupted starting tonight at 10 p.m. and will be restored tomorrow by 6 a.m.

Once the water service is restored, all water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a boil for at least one minute until further notice. All water used for bathing and other needs does not have a problem.

Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department officials will be sampling water for a two day period and will lift the advisory once results come back clear.
