The City of Fort Lauderdale has issued a boil water notice for parts of the city, as crews work to repair a 16-inch water main break.
Properties located between South Andrews Avenue and Southeast 3rd Avenue, from East Las Olas Boulevard to Southwest 6th Street will be under the notice, officials said Monday.
The city advises residents in the affected area to boil any water used for drinking, cooking, ice making, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
The notice will stay in effect until testing shows the water is safe to drink, the city says.
