Saturday night was extremely special for students at John I. Leonard High School in Boynton Beach as they went to their senior prom, accompanied by their dates – Boynton Beach Police officers.
The police department documented the entire night on their Twitter page, as they did everything from stop at a local Wawa for snacks, to preparing boutonnieres and corsages for their student dates.
“As much as tonight means to these students, it means the world to us to be able to escort them to their prom,” said a post on the Boynton Beach Police Department Twitter account.
Several officers were seen on pictures and videos dancing with students.
The prom night ended with a group photo with the caption, “We came. We danced. We rocked prom.”
