“Brazen Bandit” Bank Robber Busted

Anthony Price is charged with robbing two banks

Authorities say they have the man in custody who shot a South Florida bank customer as he robbed the joint.

Anthony Price, 43, was dubbed the "Brazen Bandit" by the FBI and is alleged to have robbed two banks in two weeks.

He stole a total of about $5,000, but it was his latest caper that sent FBI and local authorities into high alert for the dangerous fugitive.

On Aug. 19, Price walked into the AmTrust Bank in Deefield Beach and demanded cash from one of the tellers. Surveillance cameras captured Price leaping over the counter to snatch money from several drawers behind the counter and then he jumped back over to escape, but not before he shot a 67-year-old man in the neck.

The victim is still in critical condition.

Price allegedly robbed a bank in Boca Raton on Aug. 13 with the same small handgun.
