Brightline to Begin Miami Service in ‘Coming Weeks'

The high-speed train service will begin testing without passengers between Miami and Fort Lauderdale on Saturday before regular service can begin

Brightline is announcing a new schedule for service between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach as service between Fort Lauderdale and Miami is set to begin in the "coming weeks," officials said Thursday.

The high-speed train service will begin testing without passengers between Miami and Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, before regular service can begin.

In the meantime, the new schedule between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale will also begin on Saturday and is already available for booking.

On weekdays, Brightline operates an hourly schedule. Trains depart from West Palm Beach on the hour, except for the first train that departs at 5:30 a.m., and from Fort Lauderdale at 37 minutes past the hour, except on Fridays when there is an additional departure at 11:57 p.m.

On weekends, Brightline operates 90-minute intervals between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
