Brinks Security Guard Kills Suspected Armed Robber

Third alleged robber shot in one week

For the third time in one week, a suspected armed robber was shot during an attempted heist.

This time it was a Brinks security guard who pulled his gun out after he was confronted with a gun, killing the armed suspect.

Last week it was a convenience store owner in Allapattah who killed an armed suspect as well as a cop in Hallandale Beach who wounded an armed suspect as he was holding people up outside a casino.

Police said the latest incident occurred Friday afternoon when three armed men attempted to rob an armored car that was making a pick up or delivery at the Doris Ison Health Center, 10300 SW 216th St.

One witness told The Miami Herald that one of the suspects attacked the Brinks security guard, who then opened fire.

The other two men took off running and were eventually found less than a mile away inside a home at the Cutler Creek Town Homes.
