A dog that got its paw stuck while taking a bath got a helping hand from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue workers Saturday morning.

Angel, a twelve year-old Schnauzer, was taking a bath at her home on Northwest 14th Court in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale when her paw got stuck in the bathtub drain.

Her owner, Maria Fuentes tried to free her but was unable to, so she called for help.

"She says she's washed her dog in there a hundred times, so it's just one of those days," Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue's Kevin Meyers said.

BSO's Technical Rescue Team responded and were able to free Angel after about 20 minutes using a specialized piece of equipment called "Man and Machine," which has accessories specifically designed to free small items from small places.

"It was struggling, you could tell it was obviously in pain," Meyers said.

Technical Rescue workers even posed with Angel and Fuentes after she was rescued.
